Laser Printing on Liquid Food Products
Application
There are many current uses of lasers in food technology. Several examples are control and measurement devices, processing tools and clarification of juice and wine.
Other applications of lasers in foods include but are not limited to “tattooing” the skin of fruits with laser marks that can comprise barcodes and additional information.
Our Innovation
The researchers developed a simple, cost-efficient and versatile method for labeling products having a high water content, such as, gels, vegetables, fruits and dairy products.
Opportunity
Unique applications in foods and other fields that are based on gels such as very low on no sugar jams and spreads, special white cheeses and cake glazes
Nowadays people try to minimize the consumption of foods with synthetic food coloring or any other non-required harmful food additives. Using golden or brownish printing without any addition of coloring materials or pigments meets this requirement.
