Researcher interests: Art and archaeology of the ancient Near East from ca. 4000 to 300 BC; focus on pictorial representations. Religious, cultural and political ideologies manifested through visual expressions. The inspiration of the ancient Near East on early Israelite religion. Divine representation in the ancient Near East and Israel/Palestine. Levantine metal statuary in the second millennium BC. Ancient Near East glyptic art (seals and sealings).
